People love the carnival-like waffle fries, the neonatal ward-like hospitality, the cleanliness on par with a Silicon Valley chip manufacturer, the fresh-squeezed lemonade spiked with soft-serve ice cream, the aromatic peach shakes, the admirably bare-bones fried-chicken sandwich, the viral fan song set to the tune of the Beatles’s “Yesterday,” and the famous Polynesian sauce, an agrodolce condiment that looks like what would happen if a stop sign were melted down in a magical volcano made of pineapple, ginger, and corn syrup.
They weren’t gristly at all which is something I had heard about the Sam’s Club nuggets so I was happy that these were not.People love Chick-fil-A, the poultry-centric fast-food chain whose corporate purpose is to “glorify God,” and whose strict Sunday closure means that every employee gets at least one day of rest. Imagine the Chick-fil-A sandwiches you can recreate at home! Compare that to an order of 8 nuggets at Chick-fil-A sold for $5.85, it’s easy to see who the winner in the price category is, but how do they stack up taste-wise? Just Bare Chicken Nuggets are only $17.99 for a four-pound bag at Costco which works out to just $4.50 a pound. These Chick-fil-A copycat nuggets are totally affordable! After all the hype we’d seen online, we had high hopes for these Just Bare Nuggets sold at Costco.
Even though the sandwiches were a total win, the nuggets just didn’t quite live up to our expectations.
